"Providing therapeutic riding to disabled people to promote their health and wellbeing"

Equestrian Vaulting is a form of gymnastics on horseback. This can range from something as simple as sitting on the horse without holding on to doing shoulder stands on the horse and cart wheeling off!

As an activity Vaulting is great for improving fitness, mobility, balance and flexibility as well as increasing confidence and creating friendship groups and team spirit. In RDA Vaulting the sessions have a mix of disabled and able bodied participants who aid each other in the learning process.

Vaulting is a great way of a large group of people enjoying an equine activity as only one horse is needed for the session. Before anyone gets on the horse they must first warm up correctly and practice on a customised barrel. A variety of fun games and exercises are used throughout the sessions to keep participants active.

Beechley is setting up a Vaulting Group for the first time in January 2014. If you or your child is interested in joining as a vaulter or volunteer then please Contact Us!

The price of a vaulting session is £5 per person (for all members).
